Ganesya, the biggest museum in Malang


In Malang Raya there is a large and magnificent cultural museum. The museum is named the Ganesya Museum, an acronym for Indonesian Culture Title.

The museum is located in Graha Kencana housing estate, Jl,  Balearjosari, Malang.

In this museum there various artefac (historical relics) such as Tosan Aji (traditional heirloom weapons), pataka ( symbol of legitimacy of the royal office), beads, fragments, terracotta ( pottary), bronze objects, statues and inscriptions which are manifestations of the glory of the nation in the past especially  from the Singosari and Majapahit  Kingdoms.


In addition the Ganesya Museum also  present the ethnograpic expression of Indonesian Culture related to traditional performing arts, especially the culture of masks, puppets the mask and puppets shown included the banner mask, majapahit mask, shadow puppets, klitik puppets, krucil puppets, beber puppets gedog puppets, puppet show (thengul, pakuan, smack).


and banners with various froms and caracters from traditional to modern.

Collections about the spread of islam javanese land by wayang media also exist in the Ganesya Museum, such as Wali Songo puppet show, mask of menak, and wayang potehi Admiral Cheng Ho.


In this museum, there also property figures of the President of the Republic of Indonesia from Sukarno to President Joko Widodo neatly arranged on the showcase.
